URI template specification

  • Retsinformation canonical URI

    This canonical ELI URI shows the original version of a promulgated document (legislation), a non-promulgated document (decision) or a document by the Danish Parliamentary Ombudsman. The URI functions as a unique search applied to identify any single document in www.retsinformation.dk. The URI varies depending on the official medium of publication, year and number.

      • Document type "lbk": can replace "lovbekendtgørelse" = docType "lbkh"
      This could be used when transforming citations in natural language to an alias in ELI, e.g. (consolidated act) lovbekendtgørelse nr. 261 af 18/03/2015 = www.retsinformation.dk/eli/regel/lbk/2015/03/18/261. The meta-doctype "lbk" applies to documents of the specific docType "lbkh".
      • Document type "and": can replace "anordning" = docType "andh"/"andc"/"andi"
      This could be used when transforming citations in natural language to an alias in ELI, e.g. (decree) anordning nr. 1027 af 24/09/2014 = www.retsinformation.dk/eli/regel/and/2014/09/24/1027. In this way, you don't distinguish between a decree, an amending decree and a decree of entry into force.
      • Document type "bek": can replace "bekendtgørelse" = docType "bekh"/"bekc"/"beki"
      This could be used when transforming citations in natural language to an alias in ELI, e.g. (administrative order) bekendtgørelse nr. 1862 af 23/12/2015 = www.retsinformation.dk/eli/regel/bek/2015/12/23/1862. In this way, you don't distinguish between an administrative order, an amending administrative order and an administrative order of entry into force.
      • Document type "cir": can replace "cirkulære" = docType "cirh"/"cir1h"/"cir2h"/"circ"/"cir1c"/"cir2c"
      This could be used when transforming citations in natural language to an alias in ELI, e.g. (government circular) cirkulære nr. 9756 af 02/07/2015 = www.retsinformation.dk/eli/regel/cir/2015/07/02/9756. In this way, you don't distinguish between a government circular and an amending government circular.

  • Retsinfoklassifikation partial URI

    This partial ELI URI shows a list of published documents. The URI functions as a search applied to identify a specific group of published documents. The URI varies depending on the classification, doctype, year, month and day of the specific documents.

      This partial search identifies a group of documents in Retsinformation classified as legislation. The string "/regel" is applied as {classification}. The string "/lovh" is applied as {docType}. The ELI component {docType} indicates the specific type of the document as ELI metadata. In this case, the document type is "lov" (ELI-metadata short name "lovh"). The strings "/2015/5/4" are applied as {year}, {month} and {day}.

    • Partial search (decisions)

      www.retsinformation.dk/eli/afgoerelse/ken/2013/12/20
      The partial search can also be used to identify a group of documents in Retsinformation classified as decisions (non-promulgated documents). The string "/afgoerelse" is applied as {classification}. The string "/ken" is applied as {docType}. The ELI component {docType} indicates the specific type of the document as ELI metadata. In this case, the document type is "endelig administrativ afgørelse" (ELI-metadata short name "ken"). The strings "/2013/12/20" are applied as {year}, {month} and {day}.

    • Meta-doctypes:

      Meta-doctypes are also applicable to partial searches, e.g. lov www.retsinformation.dk/eli/regel/lov/2015/5/4


URI components

Name ELI component Valid values Comment
pubMedia domain lta|ltb|ltc|mt|retsinfo|ft|fob The official medium of publication of the document. The values can be described as follows: - "lta" = Lovtidende A as the official medium of publication of promulgated documents. - "ltb" = Lovtidende B as the official medium of publication of promulgated documents. - "ltc" = Lovtidende C as the official medium of publication of promulgated documents. - "mt" = Ministerialtidende as the official medium of publication of the document. Since the date 01-01-2013 documents are no longer published in Ministerialtidende. - "retsinfo" = Retsinformation as the official medium of publication of non-promulgated documents, e.g. documents classified in Retsinformation as decisions. - "ft" = Folketingstidende as the official medium of publication of documents of the Danish Parliament. These documents are also published in a special section in Retsinformation. - "fob" = A special section in Retsinformation where the Danish Parliamentary Ombudsman publishes his views and decisions.
year year YYYY The year of signature of the document.
month month MM The month of signature of the document.
day day DD The day of signature of the document.
number number [0-9]+ The number of publication of the document
language language dan The language in which the document is expressed. The only value applied is "dan".
format format html|pdf|xml The file format of the document. One of the following values can be applied: - "HTML": the default value. All documents in Retsinformation can be accessed in HTML-format. -"PDF": the value can be applied to documents promulgated in Lovtidende A, B or C, and to non-promulgated documents that have been attributed with a pretty-print PDF. -"XML": Lex Dania XML as the format value. The XML consists of Lex Dania XML enriched by Lex Dania metadata. All documents in Retsinformation can be accessed in xml-format, however, content and metadata in Lex Dania XML only exists for documents published after the date 24-09-2007.
metadata metadata rdf|ttl The metadata format of the document. The document can be viewed in either RDF (default) or Ttl.
accn natural identifier [a-zA-Z0-9]+ The accession number of the document. Since the establishment of the database of Retsinformation, each document in Retsinformation is attributed with a unique accession number.
classification domain regel|afgoerelse The value in which the document is classified in Retsinformation. The document is either classified as "legislation" or "decision".
docType type lovh, lovc, lbkh, bekh, bekc, beki, etc. The type of the document. The value consists of the short name, e.g. lovh (law) or lovc (amending law). The application of docType is determined from the specific URI, e.g. http://www.retsinformation.dk/eli/regel/beki/2013/1/9/7. The value is described in the named authority list (http://www.retsinformation.dk/eli/resource/authority/type_document)
